  8. 1. Disk Options, Selecting this icon will take you to the following menu.

  15. L. Load a previously saved game.
  16. S. Save the current game. (please note:- this will overwrite any previously 
  17. stored game)
  18. Rejoin. Use this option to return to the game after using the load or save 
  19. option.
  20. Exit. This will allow you to quit from the game completely.

  22. Main Menu Continued:-
  23. 2. Use this option if you decide to attack a cargo ship for its gold.
  24. 3. If during a battle with a cargo ship your ship's condition becomes worrying, 
  25. use this
  26.     option to retreat. You can always go to the shop, buy armour or make 
  27. repairs and
  28.     continue your battle.
  29. 4. This icon takes you to the shop menu.
  30. 5. Disembark from ship. 
  31. 6. Show Status. Selecting this icon will show you the current status of your 
  32. ship, for
  33.     example, number of crewmen, food held and so on. If you select this icon 
  34. whilst
  35.     in contact with a cargo ship, you will be shown the amount of gold the 
  36. cargo ship is
  37.     carrying .
  38. 7. Condition Pointer. If this is allowed to drop completely into the red, then 
  39. your ship
  40.     will be damaged to such an extent that it will sink (game over). Please 
  41. note, that as
  42.     your ship becomes damaged or you can not effectively operate the ship 
  43. because you
  44.     have to few crewmen, your armour level will decrease. This means that the 
  45. condition
  46.     pointer will drop much faster (buy armour to slow this down or make 
  47. temporary
  48.     repairs to build it back up).
